Shopify SEO & Analytics

Half the stores we audit are making decisions on broken data. We fix the measurement first — clean tracking, honest attribution, reporting that adds up — then go after the organic revenue that keeps compounding while your ad costs don’t.

Traffic, lifecycle and the revenue that follows.

Monthly, usually. The first month is mostly fixing things.

Sound familiar?

Your numbers don't agree with each other.

Shopify says one thing, GA4 says another, Meta claims credit for all of it. Until that’s sorted, every decision is a guess with a chart attached.

Three dashboards, three answers.

Shopify, GA4 and your ad platforms all report different revenue, and everyone's picked the one they like best.

Organic traffic has flatlined.

You publish occasionally, there's a blog nobody reads, and the category pages that could actually rank have forty words on them.

You're renting every visitor.

Turn the ads off and the traffic goes with them. That's a fine place to start and a scary place to stay.

How it goes

Measure properly, then go and earn the traffic.

There's no point optimising toward a number that's wrong, so we fix the number first. It usually takes a fortnight.

  1. 01Weeks 1–2

    Fix the measurement

Server-side tracking, consent handled properly, events that fire once and mean what they say. Then we reconcile GA4 against Shopify until the two are close enough to trust.

Numbers you can actually make decisions on.

  2. 02Weeks 2–4

    Technical clean-up

We crawl the site and fix what's stopping Google doing its job — duplicate collection URLs, thin pages, broken structured data, a sitemap full of things that shouldn't be in it.

A technically sound site, and a list of what changed.

  3. 03Ongoing

    Go after the commercial searches

Not blog traffic for the sake of it. The searches your customers actually make, mapped to the pages that should rank for them — usually collection pages, which most stores neglect.

A content plan tied to revenue rather than search volume.

  4. 04Monthly

    Report honestly

What moved, what didn't, what we're doing next. SEO is slow, and we'd rather say so than dress up a flat month.

A monthly report an actual human wrote.

FAQ

The questions we always get asked

How long before SEO does anything?

Three to six months for meaningful movement, longer in competitive categories. The technical fixes in month one sometimes move things sooner. Anyone promising quicker is selling something.

Do you write the content?

We write the briefs, and we'll write the pages if you'd like. Plenty of clients have someone in-house who knows the products better than we ever will — in that case briefs are the better use of your money.

Why does tracking need fixing first?

Because if your numbers are wrong you'll optimise toward the wrong thing and feel great about it. It's two weeks of work that makes the next twelve months honest.

Is this separate from paid media?

It shouldn't be. The tracking work underpins both, which is why people often take the two together.

Our GA4 is a mess. Is that normal?

Completely normal — the GA4 migration was rushed almost everywhere. You're not unusual, and it's very fixable.
